The name

A surname that was already inside a story

Before any of this existed, the name Encina was already travelling the world with a harp.

Luis Carlos Lupo Encina was a Paraguayan harpist. Dante and Anouk, his grandchildren, never got to hug him. But they find him in every song they hear, in the Guaraní words he loved, and in the stories their mother tells them.

That is how A Musical Grandfather was born. And from that same idea — that what we love does not disappear if someone bothers to write it down — everything else follows.

Because some people never really leave. They live on in the stories we tell, the songs we sing and the love we carry inside.

Who writes all this

There are memories that time tries to erase. The first little kicks during pregnancy. A grandfather's voice telling stories. A child's excitement when they discover they can achieve something they thought impossible. The hugs, the unexpected questions, the small lessons that shape a life.

I write to preserve those moments.

I am Vanessa Encina Götzl, mother of two, writer, and creator of books that spring from the heart of the family.

Before dedicating myself to literature, I built a career in communication and the performing arts, working as a professional dancer, actress, communicator and advertising model. Over the years I learned the power stories have to move, inspire and connect people. Without realising it, that path was preparing me for the most important project of my life.

Motherhood transformed the way I see the world. Through my children I rediscovered the magic of small details, the importance of emotions, and the immense value of the memories we build every day.

Each of my books has a purpose: to open conversations, create connections and leave positive marks on the hearts of children and of those who accompany them.

I don't write only to entertain. I write to help families create memories.

Because I believe the most important books are not only the ones that take a place on a shelf, but the ones that end up taking a place in our story. Thank you for letting me accompany you through a small part of yours.
